Make a Financial Donation
All donations are gratefully received and help to support our work with unwanted and abandoned cats and rabbits.
The Society for Abandoned Animals receives no Government or council funding, and we do not receive money from the National Lottery; we rely entirely on individual donations to pay our running costs. With vet bills of approx. £3500 per month, it costs the charity £450 per day just to stay open.
The best way of supporting our work is through a regular donation; check out the different methods below.
If you would like to set up a regular monthly donation, but prefer not to do this online, simply click here to download our standing order form and return it to our office, we’ll take care of the rest.
You can also make a single donation by sending a cheque, made payable to the SAA, via the post to The Society for Abandoned Animals, Mosley Acre Farm, Barfoot Bridge, Stretford, Manchester, M32 9UP or call in to the office and where we can accept cheques and cash donations made in person.

Peggy’s Memorial Garden
In honor of our founder, Peggy Henderson, we have created an animal memorial garden for members of the public to come and pay tribute to well loved and much missed pets.
Simply order a tag or a plaque, with your personal remembrance message engraved upon it, and the SAA will have it made and place it in the memorial garden for you to visit at any time during the sanctuary opening hours. Alternatively, you are welcome to come down to place the tag or plaque yourself and we can even arrange for ashes to be scattered in the garden as part of a memorial ceremony upon request.
There are minimum donations for both tags and plaques, this covers the item and engraving cost but also includes a small donation towards supporting the animals in our care as well. Peggy’s Memorial Garden, a wonderful way to honor a much-loved pet and support animals in need.
