We are super excited to announce that Sainsbury’s Sale and Sainsbury’s Local (Washway Road) have both chosen the SAA to be their charity of the year!
When we called on our supporters in a last minute rush for votes, we never would have thought we might win the vote on both stores and be in such a great position to raise funds for our animals over the next year. But they worked fast for us and we are so happy with today’s news.
This will give us access to events and opportunities in the stores to raise money for our animals. The stores themselves will get creative too, coming up with fun ways of raising funds and awareness for our charity. With some stores raising around £5000, we look set to raise a good amount meaning we can do so much more for the animals in our care.
This will also help us strengthen our already great relationship with the local community, which we hope will mean more people will visit us on open days and come and meet our animals!
