What's my story?
The beautiful Treacle is looking for her forever home after she was found abandoned on the side of a dual carriageway in a cardboard box. Since being with us her confidence has gone from strength to strength. Treacle is a nervous cat when she first meets people and can get scared if you move to stroke her too quickly, we suspect she has had a traumatic past. Due to this we are looking for a home with no dogs or children under the age of 16. Any children aged 16+ must know to respect Treacle’s space and must be ‘cat-savvy.’ Treacle could potentially live with another cat that’s around the same age as her, or one that’s calm.
Once Treacle is used to you she is extremely friendly and enjoys head rubs & scratches more than anything, she can normally be found curled up on a volunteer’s knee! She isn’t a big foodie but enjoys the occasional treat. Treacle enjoys naps in her igloo bed and lounging around all day watching out her window, so her new home must provide places for her to hide away in so she feels safe.
New owners must be aware that it will take Treacle some time to settle before her loving side shows itself and they must be willing to be patient with her. It would be beneficial if her new owners had a spare room to put her in until she’s comfortable to explore the whole house.
