John

What's my story?

Name: John

Age: 4-5 years old

Arrived at SAA: 22.11.25

About me:

Hi Im John! I arrived at the sanctuary after being taken to a local vets as an unwanted stray. I was very very scared so I hissed alot, so much so the vets thought I was feral so I joined the sanctuary to live with their feral colony on site. I quickly relaxed and showed my true friendly affectionate self. I was a little bit unwell when I first arrived at the sanctuary so I moved into a foster home where I am now living until I find my forever home. My foster mum says I am definitely not feral just a little shy sometimes of peoples feet and sudden movements, she thinks I might have been kicked in my past. I lived as a stray for quite sometime but I now love a nice comfy bed to sleep on and my foster cat sisters to curl up with, wash and play with. Sometimes I get told off by one of my foster cat sisters, she says I dont understand ‘personal space’ and she doesnt always want to washed! Im very clever and worked out how to use a treat ball straight away! Im great using a litter tray and very clean and tidy. Im looking for a quiet adult only house with someone who will give me time to settle and will be gentle with me. I need a home with at least 1 other friendly cat who wont mind me washing them and cuddling up with them. Although I am very affectionate I do worry about being picked up, Im not a fan! But I will lick you and snuggle up close to you. I am also super chatty especially at food time!
