What's my story?
Name: Jake
Age: 9 years old
Arrived at SAA: March 2026
About me: Jake is a big handsome boy who arrived in our care after being surrendered to a local vets. He was sadly hit by a car and had to have his eye removed and after lots of TLC at the vets he is now at SAA looking for his forever home. He does have some vision in his remaining eye however there is a degree of cataracts forming and he may fully lose vision in the future. Most cats adapt very well to vision loss but care should be taken to avoid hazards they cannot see. Jake loves a fuss and will be delighted to have a warm lap of his own again! Jake will be a wonderful companion for someone with a calm home, who likes to take life slow and spend cosy evenings on the sofa with him!
Am I an indoor or outdoor cat? Indoor only due to limited vision, he could go in a catio or a garden with cat retaining fencing
Can I live with dogs? No
Can I live with other cats? Maybe
Can I live with children? older calm children
All animals adopted from SAA are chipped, vaccinated and neutered before going to their new homes.
