About me:

At 15 years old, Elsie should be enjoying the quiet comforts of a loving home — sunny windowsills, soft blankets, and the gentle rhythm of a familiar routine. But sadly, her world has changed, and right now, she’s feeling lost and unsure.

When approached, Elsie may hiss or hide. She’s scared and confused — a senior lady trying to understand why everything feels different. But we know from her previous home that Elsie is a happy and nice natured cat once she feels safe.

Elsie needs a quiet, understanding home, patient adopter with a gentle touch who like take life at Elsie’s pace and slowly win her round. She has spent 1 on 1 time with one of our volunteers who was able to use treats to slowly build her up to being stroked and she comes to the door for her favourite food now but she isn’t in the right environment to make the progress she needs to.

She may not run to you on day one, but give her time, and she will reward you with trust, quiet affection, and the companionship only a senior cat can give. There’s something incredibly special about earning the love of a cat like Elsie — slow, steady, and real.

Am I an indoor or outdoor cat? we are open to discussion about an outdoor or indoor home

Can I live with dogs? no

Can I live with other cats?  We feel she would be best as an only cat as she may take a long time to adjust to a new cat but she has lives with another older, cam cat in the past

Can I live with children? no

All animals adopted from SAA are chipped, vaccinated and neutered before going to their new homes.

We are looking for them to be adopted as a trio or a pair with the remaining kitten to be rehomed to someone who already has a young, playful cat or with another kitten from us. We will not rehome a single kitten to a home with no other cats so please do not apply if you only want one of them! If you are interested in adopting please fill out an adoption interest form
