Cat Care Day

Cat Care day is run along different lines to rabbit care day in that we don’t have cats being brought onto the premises for vaccinating and micro-chipping. We’ve tried that in the past and it hasn’t been successful, cats aren’t as happy to be in carriers as rabbits are.

We have windows!

We had a few stalls and people had a chance to see how our new building is taking shape. It’s always a quiet event but we had more people than last year and whilst it threw it down in the morning it stayed dry until the event had finished. Cat paraphernalia flew of our pet presents stall, bargains to be had on the 10p stall and there were delicious cakes to be had on the refreshments stall. Overall we made £340.10. The best news of all was that four cats now have reserved on their pens. We are just waiting to do the home checks and if they pass they will soon be off to their new homes.

Obviously people can come down anytime (12-4.30pm except Wednesdays) to meet our cats, but it’s always special when we have a few reserved all at once.
