The day dawned with the rain pouring down, once again, and I assumed we’d have to decamp to the arena for Rabbit Care Day, rather than have the stalls in the normal position at the front of the bungalow. However Mother Nature decided to cease hostilities temporarily which meant we could be where we wanted to be. The main point of Rabbit Care Day is to educate people about the health and welfare of their pets and I am pleased to say that our free rabbit health checks did not find any serious problems with the rabbits who did attend. Their owners should be proud.
We had several stalls, a raffle for a framed Peter Rabbit 50 pence piece, a gift tombola, refreshments and our charity shop was open. The biggest stall of them all was our pet presents stall loaded down with rabbity goodies. They are all now in our onsite pet shop, come down and have a look if you get the chance.
