An animal sanctuary raised £1,350 at a spring fair.
The money, which will help the Peggy Henderson sanctuary at Mosley Acre Farm to continue to look after rabbits and cats, was raised through stalls, the sale of secondhand goods, games and a raffle.
Andy Thorne, the sanctuary coordinator, said: "The event was well attended, considering it was held just a couple of weeks after we held an advice day for people owning rabbits and it is a bit out of the way."
The next event at the sanctuary will be a cat care day on May 15, between 10:30am and 5pm, when experts will be on hand with advice on how to look after furry pets.
