There are many ways you can help save the Society for Abandoned Animals.
Make a Financial Donation
Donating just got better! Just Giving have teamed up with Vodafone to provide a FREE SMS based donation service! simply text the code SFAA11 followed by the amount you would like to donate to 70070. The amount you specify will then be deducted from your available credit and will be shown on your next bill.
Please consider making a donation on line to support our vital animal care work at www.justgiving.com/sfaa
You can also make a donation by sending a cheque made payable to the SAA and post it to The Society for Abandoned Animals, Mosley Acre Farm, Barfoot Bridge, Stretford, Manchester M32 9UP or call in to the office and where we can accept cheques and cash donations.
By standing order made payable to the Society for Abandoned Animals, pick up a form from the SAA office, you can find us down the canal towpath off Dane Road, Sale.
All donations are greatfully received and help to support our work with unwanted and abandoned cats, dogs and rabbits.
Your donation will certainly be put to good use. We pride ourselves with the high quality of care we give our animals, but this can only be achieved with the help and support from people such as yourself.
Offer Your Time
One of the most valuable things you can offer is your time, which can be from a few hours each day, to a few hours whenever we have a major fundraising event.
By becoming a volunteer you can assist with our fundraising activities, working from home, coming to the sanctuary or fundraising off site.
Whatever time you can offer us, we will find you something you can do that will help. Please contact us to discuss options by email, phone or via our website and we will find something that fits in with your existing commitments and lifestyle.
As we have very few staff available, please note that children under 14 must be accompanied by a supervising adult at all times.
Volunteer Recruitment Mornings: 20th August or 10th September - 10am. Tour of the site and an explanation of the volunteering opportunities available. And if you have time perhaps you could help us with a few odd jobs around the site!
Use Your Connections To Spread The Word
We need more people to know that we are in danger of closure. Please inform your family, friends, colleagues, business associates and ask if they can help.
Why not organise your own fundraising event at work or with your friends, have a dress down day, coffee morning or sponsored silence.
We are particularly hoping to develop successful business links, which may open larger funding streams either in the short or long term. In return we can offer businesses lunch time talks on the sanctuary, animal care or the sanctuary facilities for training / team building days. Please contact us to discuss ways we can work together in partnership.
Donations of Animal Food
If you would prefer you could donate food for the animals. Please contact us to find out what we currently need. Alternatively we always appreciate cleaning products, bin bags, paper towels and newspapers.
Sponsored Walk
Taking place on October 16th, the five-kilometre walk through the countryside starts and finishes at the Sanctuary. Those wishing to take part can either gather pledges of support from sponsors, or make their own personal donation of £10. Walkers can start between 10:30am and 2:30pm and refreshments as well as limited parking will be available on site. Dogs are welcome too! So please feel free to bring your four legged companion with you.
